Multiple arrests made after fight in downtown Calgary

CALGARY-A number of people were arrested on Friday evening, after violence broke out in downtown Calgary.

It’s believed a group of people were gathered in a parking lot near 8 Ave. and 9 Street S.W. just before 6 p.m., when a fight broke out.

Police say multiple assaults happened, including one man who had his throat slashed.

As a result, a number of people were taken into custody.
