UPDATE: Suspects released without charge after Vernon drug raid

UPDATE: The three people brought into custody have since been released without charge.

“These types of investigations do take some time, you have to know what it is that you are dealing with so you can lay the appropriate charge when it is time to go to court,” says Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk.

RCMP say a suspected meth lab was found in a back yard shed on the property.

VERNON–RCMP in the North Okanagan are conducting a drug search in a Vernon home at this hour.

An RCMP spokesperson says it’s on the 1700 block of 41st Avenue.

Police say the house is a suspected drug lab.

As you can see by these newshawk photos, the hazmat team is on scene and plain clothes police are heavily armed.

Three people who were inside the home have been taken into custody.

We’ll have more details on this developing story when they become available.
