School can wait, there’s still plenty of summer to go

Temperatures this week start around seasonal and continue to heat up

Global News

The back-to-school commercials are in full effect on TV, but outside there’s still summer weather to enjoy.

With school less than a month away the work week will play out like an ideal long weekend. High pressure over the prairies will keep the skies relatively clear. Temperatures will also be fairly consistent–as in they’ll be hot! Monday’s high of 24° is likely to be the coolest afternoon of the week.  Tuesday through Friday should range from high 20s to 30°.

Of course all good things must come to an end. Some models are showing that the sunny streak will come to a close as we get into the weekend. It won’t necessarily bring heavy rain but scattered showers don’t often win the People’s Choice award for Best Weekend at the Lake.
