UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Jahanbakhsh Meshkati. He was last known to reside in the Toronto area. There have been no arrests in connection with this homicide. Police continue to look for a motive.

Police say a man was shot multiple times and found lying in the road on 19 Avenue, west of 2nd Street just before 11:00 p.m.
Neighbours report hearing gunshots.
He was rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital in serious condition, but later died. Police say the man is known to police and is a 46-year-old man from Alberta. The shooting is believed to have been targeted.
