The 2014 Perseid meteor shower will peak between August 10 and August 13 so that means Monday will be an awesome night to stare at the sky, and the water if you are in Ship Harbour. That’s where you will find stargazers for the 2nd Annual Sealight/Skylight Festival. At 6:45 we’ll meet organizer Kim Thompson to tell us about what’s planned in the sea and in the sky.

At 7:15 we’ll get an update on the story of the Halifax meal program that was recently shut down because of dishwashing practices. Doug MacDonald, Executive Director of Ward 5 Neighbourhood Centre, will join us to discuss the situation and how they are moving forward.
