Rob Ford on hard drive recycling device: ‘I could use that’

TORONTO – Mayor Rob Ford joked about getting good use out of a machine built to recycle hard drives while touring an electronics plant in Toronto Wednesday.

“I was going to say something,” the mayor said jokingly before trailing off.

“I was thinking the same thing,” his brother, Doug Ford agreed.

The mayor was caught up in a police investigation dubbed Project Brazen 2, which detailed many meetings between him and his friend, Sandro Lisi, who has since been charged with extortion for allegedly trying to retrieve a video of the mayor smoking what might be crack cocaine.

The video was eventually found by police on a hard drive seized during the Project Traveller raids.

“I could use that,” the mayor quipped.
