WATCH: Man attempts to record lightning, gets struck instead

TORONTO – A Seattle man was struck by lightning over the weekend while he was attempting to capture lightning on video.

According to Seattle’s KOMO News, Robb Montejano was walking through a field Saturday morning when he saw lightning and pulled out his camera in an attempt to record the approaching storm.

“I don’t know if it’s going to happen, I’ll give it a minute,” Montejano is heard saying in the video.

Within a minute, Montejano was struck.

“I just felt this surge of electricity go ‘boom’ through my body,” he told KOMO News. “The electricity flowing through my body. I can’t describe it. It was amazing.”

Montejano was uninjured in the incident.
