TORONTO – Police say a youth has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed along the Toronto Caribbean Carnival parade route.
The victim suffered serious injuries Saturday night and remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police say the man, a Toronto-area resident, was stabbed twice in the chest during an altercation.
The youth cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Officials of the Caribbean Carnival are talking to police about the incident.
