VANCOUVER – Translink is offering all users a free ride on Monday to make up for a series of SkyTrain problems in the past month.
Thousands of passengers were stranded when the Expo and Millennium Lines saw two system-wide shutdowns in July.
People were stuck for hours and many were forced to escape by walking along the tracks.
As an apology, and to show its appreciation for customers, Translink is offering a free transit day on BC Day.
But critics say it isn’t enough especially because BC Day is a statutory holiday when all fares are already reduced.
