Divers recover man’s body from Saskatchewan lake

SOUTHEY, Sask. – The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team (URT) has recovered a Regina man’s body from Last Mountain Lake.

The body of Travis Kruszelnicki, 36, was located on Saturday within 10 metres of where he was last seen.

Family members have identified the body.

On Friday evening, three people were fishing off a point that extends into the lake when a storm rolled into the area.

RCMP said waves from a storm swept a 38-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy into the lake.

While Kruszelnicki attempted to help, he was also swept into the water.

The 38-year-old man and boy reached the shore safely but Kruszelnicki was presumed to have drowned.
