WATCH: Couple new to B.C. having big troubles with moving company

A couple who recently moved from Winnipeg to Abbotsford is going through moving hell.

The Heinrichs were told by their moving company, Pacific West Van Lines of Richmond, that they would be reunited with their belongings at the beginning of July.

However, several weeks later they are still waiting for all of their stuff. Some of it arrived on July 27, apart from their bed frame and several other items. In addition, they received other furniture that wasn’t even theirs.

The couple says the moving company told them it would take three to five days for their furniture to be delivered from Winnipeg to Abbotsford. Included in the move was baby furniture for their new arrival.

Meagan Heinrichs ended up going into labour on a folding table and chair. The couple had to spend $2,000 on a new bedroom set to be ready for their baby son’s arrival.

Pacific West Van Lines declined an on-camera interview with Global News, but says they’ve cancelled the contract with their Winnipeg affiliate, already compensated the Heinrichs, and if they want more, they should file a claim.
