Richmond RCMP say they are investigating two drive-by shootings in Steveston Monday night.

Police say they were called to a home after a report of shots fired around 10:30 p.m. on Williams Road.

About an hour later, police received reports of what neighbours thought were firecrackers on Bamfield Drive. The incident turned out to be a second drive-by shooting.

The Serious Crimes unit has been called in and police believe the two incidents are connected.

“It is our belief the shootings were targeted this was not a random act,” says Richmond Media Relations officer Corporal Stephanie Ashton.

No one was injured in the shootings.
