Body of drowning victim recovered from Saskatchewan lake

SOUTHEND, Sask. – The body of a missing man has been recovered from a northern Saskatchewan lake.

The 32-year-old Southend, Sask. man was reported missing after falling out of his boat Sunday evening on Reindeer Lake.

The RCMP underwater recovery team, along with several volunteers, recovered the body of the boater about 15 kilometres northeast of the community on Tuesday afternoon.

His name has not been released.

The coroner’s office has determined the cause of death to be drowning and RCMP say his death is not considered suspicious.
