UPDATE: Man arrested after he accidentally shot friend in Surrey

UPDATE: Surrey RCMP says a 27-year-old Langley man has been arrested in relation to this incident. He’s facing eight charges, including aggravated assault and firearms charges.

RCMP are on scene at a shooting in Surrey.

One man was shot in the leg around 4:30 p.m. Monday at a home in the 18707-block of 60A Ave.

According to RCMP, the man was accidentally shot in the leg by a friend.

Before police arrived, the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed.

The victim is only offering “limited details” of what happened, according to police.

He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

The suspect is still at large. Police are looking for a Caucasian male, in his early 30’s, slender build, with light coloured hair, wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.  The male was not wearing a helmet when he left on the motorcycle.
