NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – A 20-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening after an attempted robbery in North Battleford, Sask.
The accused is charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon.
He was scheduled to appear in provincial court Monday morning.
The charges come after an incident in the city at a parking lot off Territorial Drive around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
RCMP say two men were approached by three suspects while sitting in their vehicles.
One of the suspects appeared to have a firearm as they demanded cash from the victims.
One of the victims was bear sprayed before they were able to flee the scene.
The victim was treated at hospital for the effects of bear mace.
RCMP are still investigating the matter.
