High levels of E. coli bacteria in the water can increase risk of gastro-intestinal illness.

Vancouver Coastal Health says they are looking into potential sources of the contamination, including consulting with the District of West Vancouver, Metro Vancouver and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Samples are taken weekly by Vancouver Coastal Health and results are posted on their website every friday.
