WINNIPEG – A cyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a van early Saturday morning.

Police have closed the intersection of Salter Street and College Avenue to investigate the crash.

The 40-year-old male cyclist was hit by the pictured red van just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital in critical condition after the driver immediately stopped and called police.
