Victim found in burned trailer in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – Fire crews dousing a blaze in a trailer in Winnipeg’s core area discovered a badly injured man inside.

The blaze was discovered in a semi trailer in a parking lot at Logan Avenue and Lizzie Street at about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly after, fire crews called for paramedics who were seen performing CPR on the victim before rushing him to hospital. Officials described the victim as a middle aged male.

It’s unknown why the man was in the trailer or what sparked the fire. Arson investigators were on hand.

It didn’t take long to put out the fire that left the white, refrigerated trailer unit blackened on one side.
