UPDATE: All severe thunderstorm watches have ended in Saskatchewan

SASKATOON – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Saskatchewan including areas around Saskatoon and regions already affected by flooding.

Environment Canada says a disturbance tracking across the northern grainbelt is expected to trigger scattered thunderstorms throughout Friday afternoon.

The conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts, hail and heavy rain.

The watch is expected to last into the late evening.
