CALGARY – The Calgary Flames have signed goaltender Jonas Hiller to a two-year, US$9-million deal, his agent tells The Canadian Press.

Hiller made 50 starts in goal for Anaheim last season, posing a 29-13-7 record with five shutouts, a 2.48 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

He is expected to be given an opportunity to become Calgary’s starter next season, competing against Karri Ramo.

Earlier, Calgary signed forward Mason Raymond to a three-year deal worth a reported $9.5 million.

Raymond scored 19 goals and added 26 assists with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.

Prior to joining Toronto, Raymond spent six seasons with the Vancouver Canucks.

In 456 career games, the native of Cochrane, Alta., has 99 goals and 124 assists.
