CALGARY – Police are trying to determine what led to a stabbing that left one man with serious injuries.
The victim was dropped off at a Calgary hospital around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his stomach, legs and arms.
Police say the two men that dropped the victim off at the hospital left without speaking with anyone.
Investigators believe the victim was injured while in a home in the 700 block of Riverbend Drive; officers were called to the residence the night before for reports of a disturbance.
Neighbours say a man in his 50’s lives in the home, and police have visited it on several occasions.
One man was taken into custody, however, his role in the incident has yet to be determined.
The victim’s injuries are considered life-threatening. Police say he has undergone surgery and is heavily sedated, so they haven’t been able to interview him yet.
