A suspected meth lab has been shut down in Richmond thanks to a tip from the public.
Police were called to the 11000 block of Cambie Road on Thursday after getting a call that there was a strange odour in the area.
Investigators say they found what can best be described as a pre-cursor lab where it appears the chemicals needed to make meth were being broken down.
The Lower Mainland clandestine lab team is assisting in the clean-up. Police expect to be on scene for a number of hours.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Richmond RCMP.
