WATCH: South Island fire danger

WATCH: Officials warn Islanders to be careful after two fires in the past few days. Kylie Stanton reports.

Southern Vancouver Island is heating up and drying out. “We’re concerned this could be a really dry summer,” said Steve Adams of the Langford Fire Rescue. “We’re asking everyone to be safe out there and be mindful of anything that could cause brush fires.” According to Environment Canada’s seasonal forecast, the drying trend will continue for a three month stretch right across the province.
