Halifax –
A 22 year old man is facing charges after an incident in Dartmouth overnight.
Halifax Regional Police say they were called to the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive around 1:30 Sunday morning, after receiving reports of a man armed with a knife.
Police say a caller reported that the suspect intended to confront a group of individuals who he allegedly had an altercation with earlier.
Officers were able to take the man into custody, and recover a knife at the scene. There were no injuries.
Police have charged a 22 year old Dartmouth man with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He will appear in court at a later date.
