Surrey man injured in targeted home invasion

A 56-year-old man was injured following a home invasion in Surrey last night.

RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion in the 10300 block of 127th Street and found two male suspects had forced entry into the home. During the invasion, the two suspects stole an undetermined amount of prescription drugs and assaulted the male resident before fleeing the home.

The male victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A woman was also at the home during the invasion but was not injured.

The two male suspects are described as Caucasian, possibly in their thirties with several tattoos.

Although police are in the early stages of their investigation, they believe the incident was targeted.

Anyone with information regarding this home invasion is asked to call the Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
