In Canada, there are far more men in politics than women.   That’s a reality campaign school aims to change with education and support.  At 6:45 we’ll meet two women who are sharing their knowledge to encourage others to get in the running for a future in politics.

Two major recreation projects are being contemplated for the Halifax region, with municipal staff recommending two new arenas be built to replace a number of aging facilities, including the Halifax Forum. At 7:15 we’ll talk with the chairman of the Halifax Community Association who says he’s stunned by the news.

Have you ever found yourself stranded with a dead cell phone, far from home, work or even your car?  Three young entrepreneurs in Halifax have created a new charging service that aims to keep people powered up on the go. At 7:45 we’ll meet one of the founders of Free2Charge.

There’s nothing quite like fresh, local strawberries especially when it comes to summertime desserts. At 8:15 we’ll be joined by helen Buchan of Mrs. MacGregor’s Shortbreads with three recipes that let Nova Scotia strawberries take center stage.
