Vernon search and rescue are on scene this morning looking into reports of a vehicle that plunged into the Shuswap River late last night.
A witness contacted Vernon RCMP claiming she saw a car go into the waters near Mabel Lake Road just east of Lumby.

The water is running very fast right now so offices say dive teams will not be going in for their own safety.
There is still no word on whether anyone was trapped inside.
RCMP is following up with anybody missing.
