In his letter, AMA President Dr. Patrick White says it is an absolute that the organization does not endorse or favour a particular party or politician.

The letter was sent out following a meeting of the AMA’s board of directors.

White is a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta.

Under a new policy, the AMA says it will list links on its electronic newsletter to five of Alberta’s major parties, including the Wildrose, New Democrat and Alberta parties.
