Bus driver suffers minor injuries after rock strikes window

The driver of the bus sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. Curtis Kreklau

RCMP say there’s nothing suspicious about an incident this morning when a rock hit the window of a transit bus.

Police say that the incident happened around 10 a.m. Sunday, while the bus was traveling on Fraser Highway near 176th Street.

The window shattered and the driver sustained minor injuries.

He pulled over and was treated by paramedics on scene.

Police say it’s possible the rock was deflected off another vehicle’s tire as the bus was traveling on a truck route.

About 20 people were on the bus at the time of the incident but they were not injured.
