RCMP say a traffic stop near Revelstoke resulted in a large marijuana seizure from an Alberta man.
RCMP say they pulled the man over after detecting “the strong odour of marijuana coming from the vehicle.” He was heading eastbound to Calgary.

The 23-year-old man had a medical license for pot, but had 25 times the amount allowed. The marijuana was being transported in the trunk of his rental Chevrolet Cruze in large plastic bags.
The man also had a large amount of Canadian currency with him. He was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in court in September.
