REGINA – Expect one of the city’s busiest intersections to be a bit congested this week.
Eastbound traffic on Victoria Ave. at Broad St. is being temporarily detoured into the westbound lanes after the road started to collapse.
A contractor working to install utility lanes at the intersection struck a water main which caused the ground under the road to give way.
The city says that adjustments are being made to traffic lights at the intersection in an effort to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
The damage will be repaired later in the week once the contractor has completed their work.
