VERNON – Surveillance camera images have helped the Mounties in Vernon arrest two arson suspects.
Very early in the morning on May 29th, a taxi cab driver spotted a small blaze burning in recycling materials behind AJ’s Pets store.
The security video shows a man throwing something into the recycling then walking away.
Police say the two suspects were released on a undertaking to appear in court on June 26th when charges may be laid.
They are 24 and 30 years old and both are from the Vernon area.
RCMP don’t believe the two men are connected to any of the other recent arson fires in the city.
