CALGARY – School trustees and senior staff from school boards across the province will gather in Red Deer on Monday for the annual Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) general meeting.

The ABSA says the theme for this year’s meeting is ‘building trust.’

Members from 61 school boards in Alberta will take part in discussions on how to develop better trust to benefit students and communities.

They’ll also be debating proposed policies and the ABSA’s budget.

Education Minister Jeff Johnson is among those who will attend the two-day gathering.

He will be speaking to the group on Tuesday at noon.

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Hotel.
