CALGARY- It was a close call at a home in northeast Calgary, after fire broke out over the noon hour.
Fire crews were called to the home along Templeton Close on Wednesday, after a worker reading meters in the area saw smoke and flames.

The blaze had started in the kitchen, then quickly spread into other rooms throughout the four-level split home. Crews managed to knock down the fire quickly, but there is significant smoke damage inside.
One person was inside at the time, but managed to escape safety. There were no reports of injuries.
