CALGARY- A search was launched on Tuesday afternoon, over fears that someone drowned in the Bow River.
The fire department was called just before 3:30 p.m., after a homeowner in the 2200 block of 8 Ave. S.E. reported seeing a person fall out of a dingy in the Inglewood area.

The person did not reappear, prompting the 911 call.
Two boats were deployed for the search, along with a police helicopter. Crews did find a dingy and some shoes, but haven’t yet confirmed if they belong to the person who may have gone overboard.
