Ralston & Associates, hired by some of the families to continue the search after the RCMP transitioned to a recovery mission, found the three 500 feet below the water, according to Sgt. Darryl Little in a release.

The RCMP dive team will be helping to recover the bodies on Wednesday.

19-year-old Lily Harmer-Taylor, along with Hayden Kyle, 21, Skye Donnet, 18, and Jule Wiltshire-Padfield, 15, were canoeing on Slocan Lake on May 10 when their boat capsized just 150 meters from shore.

Witnesses saw two people clinging to the canoe but when searchers arrived, only Harmer-Taylor was unconscious inside.
