Want to know all about the ‘real people’ of Halifax? There’s a blog for that. Halifax Bloggers is a new network that launched in our city that celebrates all things Halifax and beyond. It includes blogs about food, lifestyle, travel and technology and much more. Editor in Chief Brenden Sommerhalder will stop by at 6:45 to tell us more.

There’s a study underway to try to better understand the history of the North End of Halifax in order to create better opportunities for the future. It’s looking at health and well being and access to social programs. We’ll be joined by one of the lead researchers at 7:15 who will explain the next steps in this new project.

Gaelic journalist, author, broadcaster and educator Roddy MacLean will drop by the red table at 7:45 to talk with Erin Trafford about Gaelic Awareness Month. Gaelic culture has a strong presence in Nova Scotia and we’ll find out what Roddy is doing to help promote the language and culture here.

For the first time ever The BIG RIDE is heading to the East Coast. The relay-style charity bike ride will travel from Parliament Hill to Citadel Hill this fall in support of cancer research. At 8:15 Jill Chappel will talk with two of the folks who are getting ready for the big ride.

And at 8:45 we’ll meet another finalist for Casino Nova Scotia’s Artist In Residence Program. According to his twitter profile he is the Man Of The Year and with strong words like that, it’s easy to see why he goes by the stage name AMBITION. We’ll meet the Halifax MC who is representing Hip-Hop and in the running for the $20,000 grand prize.
