EDMONTON – A man in his 20s was killed Wednesday evening, in collision in southeast Edmonton.

Two other people received non-life-threatening injuries in the collision, which happened in the area of 50 Street and 41 Avenue SW around 6:00 p.m.

Officers say a Mazda truck was heading south on 50 Street when it drifted into the northbound lane and hit a Ford pickup truck. Police say the Ford pickup rolled and ended up on its roof.

The driver, and lone occupant, of the Mazda truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the Ford truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police say speed is not a factor, but officers are investigating to see whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
