KELOWNA, B.C. – Tenants living at 736 Bernard Avenue are relieved police have finally arrested five of their neighbours.
The RCMP emergency response team surrounded the building at 1 A.M. Tuesday in their attempts to find two suspects wanted in a home invasion Monday on Findlay Road.
Tenants in the building where the arrest took place say their complaints about crime, drugs and prostitution in their building have been ignored.
RCMP also recovered many stolen items in the apartment raided Tuesday, including items stolen from Vernon and Penticton robberies.
Police say they opened seven new investigation files during the raid on the building.
