Man fights for his life after Plateau shooting

MONTREAL – A 28-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot on Saint-Hubert street near Mont-Royal avenue.

Residents reportedly heard gunshots around 7:50 p.m. Sunday night.

Witnesses told police they saw a man sitting in his car covered in blood.

Montreal police found the man in his car. He was shot in the upper body at least once.

“We think it may have been related to narcotics,” said Constable Danny Richer.

“The investigation in the scene is now over. We are still looking for suspects.”

The man remains in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.
