VERNON — A wild 60 minutes ended in heartbreak for the hometown team.
While the Vipers came out strong, two quick goals in 46 seconds by the Terriers put the home club down 2-0.
The Vipers got on the board in the first with a power play goal by Brett Mulcahy and again on the man advantage in the first minute of the second, Vernon’s Michael McNicholas tied it up.
Kal Tire Place exploded.
But the Terriers would add another two marking the end of the line for Vipers netminder Austin Smith, who allowed four goals on eight shots.
Dancs would get Vernon within one heading into the final frame, but the Terriers, with two late empty net goals, took the 6-3 win.
