Man found dead in burning vehicle identified as Innisfail man


Watch above: The RCMP is looking for the public’s help in tracking down who killed an Innisfail man sometime last week. Oleg Cusnir was found dead in a burning pickup truck on Thursday, just east of Innisfail.  Carolyn Kury de Castillo has the latest on the investigation.

CALGARY- An investigation is underway, after a man was found dead inside a burning vehicle near Innisfail.

RCMP were called to a field near Range Road 273 around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, for reports of a burning vehicle. When they arrived, they found a dead person inside.

The man has since been identified by RCMP as 27-year-old Oleg Cusnir.

An autopsy was done, and determined Cusnir’s death to be a homicide. Police say the cause of his death is known, but will not be released.

While few details are available, RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
