A man is recovering from his injuries after a stabbing in New Westminster.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. night at an apartment building near 8th Street and 4th Avenue.
The major crimes unit is investigating and officers are still looking for a suspect.
He is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” tall, 20-30 years of age, with slim build, short black hair with a black moustache and goatee, wearing a dark hoodie with the hood pulled up tight around his face.
It’s also still unclear what led to the violence, but police say it is not a random act. They say it is not believed to be gang related.
The victim’s injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
He remains in hospital in stable condition.
