Man seriously injured in all-terrain vehicle crash near Calgary

CALGARY – A 35-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being injured while riding an all terrain vehicle northeast of Calgary.

STARS Air Ambulance rushed to the scene near Acme, Alberta around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

They say the victim was riding in a vehicle, possibly a dune buggy, which was being towed behind another vehicle.

He was injured when his buggy was rear ended while traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 806.

The patient was rushed to Foothills Hospital in serious condition with potentially life-threatening injuries.
