Hate Crimes Unit investigating wooden swastika in southwest Edmonton

EDMONTON – Edmonton Police’s Hate Crimes Unit is investigating after a wooden swastika was set ablaze in the southwest part of the city.

A motorist alerted police to the six-by-six feet tall burning swastika at Anthony Henday westbound near the Rabbit Hill Road exit, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Fire fighters were called to the scene and quickly put out the flames.

There are no suspects at this time.
