Police are in the early stages of an investigation into the death of a young man in northwest Calgary.
They were called to the 3000 block of Boulton Rd. NW around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Officers say a man in his 20’s had been drinking heavily before collapsing on the sidewalk. A friend called EMS and he was taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition; he later died in hospital.
Police say he might have taken drugs as well, but are waiting for toxicology tests to confirm that.
So far the death is not considered suspicious.
