Meet the candidates in Rosemont’s election race

There are eight candidates running in the riding:

Parti Quebecois: Jean-François Lisée (incumbent)

Quebec Liberal Party: Thiery Valade

Coalition Avenir Quebec: Carl Dubois

Quebec Solidaire: Jean Trudelle

Option Nationale: Sophie-Geneviève Labelle

Green Party of Quebec: Ksenia Svetoushkina

Bloc Pot: Matthew Babin

Parti marxiste-léniniste du Québec: Stéphane Chénier

This riding is currently held by Parti Quebecois MNA Jean-François Lisée, the Minister of International Relations, Francophonie, External Trade and Montreal.

Rosemont has voted for the Parti Quebecois since 1994.

Population: 71,885

Electors: 51,073

2012 voter turnout: 76.10%

1995 referendum vote: Yes: 53.6%; No: 46.4%

On April 7, 2014, polling stations will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find your local polling station, click here.

You must be entered on the Quebec list of electors in order to vote. When heading to the poll station, remember to bring either your driver’s licence, health insurance card, Canadian passport, Treaty status card or Canadian Forces ID.
