WATCH: Bill Clinton jokes about Rob Ford on Jimmy Kimmel show

TORONTO – Former U.S. President Bill Clinton offered a tongue-in-cheek opinion on Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Wednesday night on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Clinton joked that Ford has “absolutely destroyed every stereotype people have about Canadians.”

“You know, the Canadians are upbeat, optimistic, can-do, they are embracing, they are inclusive. Everything I ever believed about Canadians, ol’ Rob has proved (that) stereotypes are not good.”

Ford made headlines last year when he admitted to smoking crack cocaine in a “druken stupor” and is currently the subject of an ongoing police investigation targeting him and his friend Sandro Lisi.

Kimmel also asked him if he missed being called “the first black president.”

“I loved being called the first black president, but Barack Obama really is, he deserves it.”

Clinton also addressed the issue of Area 51 and if aliens exists.

“If we were visited some day, I wouldn’t be surprised. I just hope that it’s not like ‘Independence Day,’ the movie — that it’s, you know, a conflict.”
