12-year-old girl missing in Nanaimo

UPDATE: Elissa has now been found safe. Thanks to everyone who helped find her.

A 12-year-old girl is missing in the Nanaimo area and RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating her.

Elissa Elizabeth Fawdry was last seen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, near her grandmother’s house on Centre Street. Elissa is a Grade 7 student and is currently enrolled in School District 68.

Police say all attempts to find her through family, friends and social media have failed. Her disappearance is considered out of character, and police say she is going through some medical issues and is considered at risk.

Elissa was last seen wearing a red and black sweater, black jeans and white and black shoes. She is of First Nations descent, is 5 ft 9″ tall and weighs 120 pounds.
