CALGARY – Global Calgary weather anchor Carla Bosacki’s pet pup Max is safe and sound, thanks to Calgary Police and Calgary Transit.

The pooch went missing around 7 p.m. on Friday from downtown Calgary.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The animal is believed to have been taken by someone from outside The Bay on Stephen Avenue shortly after Bosacki finished a live report into the 6 p.m. newscast.

News of the theft quickly lit up social media with Calgarians and police issuing appeals for help in locating the animal.

A huge thank-you goes out to all of the police and transit employees who assisted in bringing Max home.
